Erthromycin is a prescription antibiotic is a patented form of herrihydrate. It is generally used to treat bacterial infections, and it is part of a group known as macrolide antibiotics. They slow the growth of or sometimes kill sensitive bacteria, reducing proteins that are essential to their survival. It can treat endocarditis and rheumatic fever in addition to acne.
However, it should not be combined with Hismanal, propulsid, orap, or seldane. It could results in life threatening disorders, and if you have liver disease or myasthenia gravis, it should not be used. It should not be crushed, chewed, or anything else, because the outer coating protects your stomach. It can cause sun sensitivity and extreme sunburn as well as diarrhea, blood in the stool, and symptoms similar to a cold or flu.
Without question, Erthromycin is not for everybody. It can have serious side effects, and it may not treat many cases of acne. In fact, it probably won’t treat quite a few cases of acne. It has to be combined with another treatment such as benzyl peroxide, and we believe that any results you may see would be due to the other treatment you are using rather than Erthromycin.
