What is Acne Free?

Acne Free is one product you can always see on TV and find through major stores like Walmart, and it claims to not only be as good as Proactiv, but better. They provide you with the same basic ingredients at a lower price, but they claim that their time release formula makes it substantially more effective in fighting even the worst acne. A supposed clinical study is even cited.

What Ingredients are in Acne Free?

But the fact is, there is no proof of any such study, research, or technology. In fact, it seems to us that Acne Free is exactly the same as Proactiv. It will still irritate your skin, may create dependency, and it may not get rid of acne at all. It seems that they use less benzyl peroxide than Proactiv, so it's not as effective. But they also lack the ingredients to combat the side effects of Proactiv such as dryness, redness, and itching skin.

What Else Should I Know about Acne Free?

The only benefit of Acne Free is its cheaper price. It provides a less powerful formula than Proactiv that nonetheless is reported to have worse side effects and more frequent side effects. But as they say, you get what you pay for.
