Differin Review
What is Differin?
A prescription acne gel, Differin is based around 0.3% adapalene. Like most prescriptions, adapalene is a form of vitamin A, increasing the skin's cell production. It is not used in any over the counter options, so you can only find it in prescription form. But many would assume that if you can only find it as a prescription, or if you can find it as a prescription at all, it must work. and there is a point to that, being that the FDA generally approves prescription options, and they require a certain number of clinical studies among other things.
What Else Should I Know about Differin?
But Differin can also cause skin irritation and multiple other side effects. It can increase sun sensitivity, and unlike even benzyl peroxide, it can actually be harmful to a developing fetus. Some users have reported difficulty breathing, hives, swelling, red or scaly skin, burning or stinging, and other side effects. It is not to be used in combination with any other acne treatment, and we would not suggest it all things considered.
