About SkinID

SkinID is the one product that claims to actually isolate your specific skin type and provide you with an appropriate treatment. They even claim to have clinical studies that prove that their system works, just as dieting by blood type is supposed to work. They provide a site where you can take the test and even celebrity endorsements. It is produced by the large conglomerate Neutrogena, and they promise that you will be able to “cure” your acne 2x faster than Proactiv.

What Ingredients are in SkinID?

First of all, there is no “cure” for acne. You simply have to grow out of it. Second, if you actually look at their ingredients lists, and there are many, you will see that each number for one of three steps in each program has basically the same ingredients. If you say you have sensitive skin and have used benzyl peroxide before and failed, they will still amazingly enough provide you with a product that contains benzyl peroxide. But they will also be likely to provide you with an ingredients list that includes salicylic acid, which is supposed to make it all better. And once you buy, you are tied into an impossible to cancel autoship program. And of course, they don’t actually site that clinical study they talk about.

What Else Should I Know about SkinID?

SkinID is based purely on false pretenses. It is not superior to Proactiv or anything else for that matter. They tie you into an autoship you don’t actually control, because that is the only way they can keep selling their products once you have tried it for the first month. Their formulas are all the same, and realistically the test means nothing. They are extremely deceitful, hoping that you just won’t check out the facts.
